Bianca Carter, FNP-C, Advisor
Bianca Carter is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to functional medicine, integrative wellness, and optimizing patient health from the inside out. Bianca’s career in functional and regenerative medicine began in 2018 at a women’s wellness clinic, where she developed a passion for hormone balancing, metabolic health, and advanced diagnostic testing. Through Bobbie’s planning and design efforts with Concordia, she collaborates with communities to help them realize their potential through consensus-building and community engagement. Bobbie’s project experience includes managing community engagement for the Unified New Orleans Planning project, during which she provided coordination and oversight services for the city-wide recovery plan in New Orleans.

Candice Jackson is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. She previously started and owned a Medicare-certified CHAP-accredited home Health agency. Candice is dedicated to making a positive impact in the Senior Community. Along with her Nursing degree, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and Theology with honors, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Real Estate with Highest honors. She is the mother of one daughter. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with family and friends, cycling, dancing, working out, and travelling.

Donzell Turner is a seasoned maritime professional and current Port Captain at Kirby Inland Marine, where he oversees vessel operations, safety compliance, and crew development across a diverse fleet of vessels. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Donzell has established a reputation as both a results-driven leader and a dedicated mentor, committed to operational excellence and cultivating the next generation of talent. Donzell plays a critical role in managing SIRE inspections, investigating incidents, improving fleet safety culture, and developing progressive improvement plans for crew members.

Michael McKenzie Sr.
Founder & Principal
Michael McKenzie Sr. is the Principal at Solidarity + Resilience Project. Michael has 25 years of experience serving communities through public education, civic engagement, volunteerism, and social entrepreneurship. Michael's visionary leadership leans on an intersectional approach where capacity-building in environment awareness, housing, economic development, research, art, health, narrative, and education are interwoven and community-centered. Michael's experiences include executive leadership, program design, research, project management, community facilitation, event planning, and narrative works that uplift community stories and voices that require amplification. Michael has engaged with brilliant change-makers across the country and the world and leans into these relationships to impact solidarity and resilience in the communities he is called to serve.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College in Sociology-Anthropology with a focus on Urban Studies. He would then earn a Master of Science degree in Education Administration from Texas Southern University with a specialty in urban education. Michael advanced his education at Teachers College, Columbia University's Urban Education Leadership Program in the area of Organizational Leadership. Michael is also a former Harvard GSE Fellow.
